April 2009 - Sensei Terry Mack has retired from teaching at the Leicester Jiu Jitsu Club to pursue personal commitments.
On behalf of SMRTJ I would like to personally thank Terry for the hard work, commitment and dedication in instructing the club over the last 12 months. Terry will still be training at the club from time to time. We wish Terry all the best for the future.

Leicester Jiu Jitsu held a demonstration for Leicester TA Medical Unit as part of their annual Remembrance Day program. The event was run by Soke Catterick and organised jointly by Leicester Jiu Jitsu and the TA. The event was a success and as a result of number of the TA members had signed up to train regularly with Leicester Jiu Jitsu.

Hipolito Amoruso who recently attained his 1st Kyu 'Brown Belt' along with Senseis Nish Soni and Terry Mack will be returning back home to Angola.
Hipolito has trained with Leicester Jiu Jitsu under the instruction of Sensei John Dowson, Sensei Gary Tuck/Tom Hoyle for the past 4 years, having moved to Leicester to study for a degree and Masters in Marketing.
Hipolito has been a great ambassador for the club and lead by demonstrating commitment and dedication to training along with being a popular member of the style. We wish Hipolito all the best in pursing a career back home in Angola.
